Mid-Century Slatted Wooden Bench

As early as ancient Egypt, benches have long been used as stylish, convenient seating to gather for meals or remove shoes prior to entering their home. Modern designers expanded upon this ancient tradition by using different materials and creating sleek designs that blend into contemporary interiors seamlessly. Pamono offers an exquisite collection of mid-century wooden benches which add warmth and charm into living rooms or bedrooms alike.

The Henrik bench is an ideal way to add Scandinavian style and charm to your decor. Boasting an eye-catching slatted wood frame with visible joinery, its stunning appearance makes a bold statement in any home and its modern legs promise long-term use.

Tom decided to build this bench from ipe deck boards, a dense hardwood that’s revered for its rich hue and knot-free surface. To cut board stock to size he used both a Kapex KS120 sliding compound miter saw and TS 55 circular saw; Kevin secured it using GRK #8 1-1/2” multipurpose screws from GRK Fasteners along with some wood glue. Their construction took about four hours with $100 spent in supplies.

Corner Bench with Table

Corner dining benches make an excellent addition to a cozy dining nook, and we recommend our Mia and Camillo range as ideal options. However, pedestal tables also work very well if space permits. When placing underneath tables with legs (e.g. Mia or Camillo range) remember that for optimal fit the bench must be slightly longer than its inside leg length, leaving at least 5-10 cm for storage purposes when not in use.

Start by cutting two 17-1/2″ x 16-3/4″ pieces of 1/2″ plywood and pre-drill and screw them together to form the corners of a box, using pre-drilled and screwed fasteners as necessary. Cut two 17-1/2″ x 16-3/4″ squares from plywood as lids; these should then be installed onto each box via their hinged lids (Image 1). Finally, install seven 2x4s measuring 14 1/2 x 9 3 4s as horizontal/vertical supports between corners where longer boxes intersect as well as halfway from shorter box ends to corner intersection (Image 1) This will reinforce its structural integrity as a bench!

Cedar Bench with Planters

Take a seat and unwind surrounded by lush vegetation, inviting flowers, and welcoming ferns on this lovely outdoor cedar planter bench! Boasting two built-in planters on each end for added charm to the exterior landscape of your home while serving as seating for family and friends, it provides both seating for entertaining while beautifying it at once!

Western Red Cedar is an exceptional type of wood that’s both resilient and weather resistant, thanks to its oil content that helps preserve it even in harsh outdoor conditions. Skilled Amish craftsmen carefully sand and dress pieces so they feel smooth to the touch, though natural aging will cause some color changes or small checks in grain that only add character and charm to handmade outdoor furniture pieces.

To create this patio furniture set, cut all 48” long main bench slats down to 1-1/4” wide before cutting all five bench cross pieces and screwing them together using spacers of 3/4″ width. When placing them onto the bench assembly top piece using screws and spacers for alignment purposes. Clamp these together before screwing five cross pieces in their places as shown; gaps at either end will eventually accommodate planter rails when completed.

Modern Outdoor Chairs

Modern patio furniture styles are created for comfort, beauty and durability. Available materials range from metal and wood to wicker and composites – choose the material based on weather in your region and how you intend to use the furniture – some require regular upkeep with special products while others can be easily maintained using soap and water alone.

Consider looking for modern outdoor chairs with right angles, clean lines and muted colors to easily coordinate them with other items in your backyard. White is often associated with modern designs; however it comes in various tones and values; for instance this set of lounge chairs boast a light cream cushion which blends seamlessly into its rattan wicker frame.

Teak wood is another popular material used in modern outdoor chairs. It looks stunning either left untreated, or treated for an elegant silvery gray patina that lasts decades. Teak’s durability and minimal upkeep requirements make it a fantastic choice for creating poolside lounge areas or stackable sets perfect for small spaces. Other modern seating options may include swivel chairs, woven lounges or stackable sets that provide comfortable seating solutions.
